Project Overview
This project involves the design of a new 1 MGD prefabricated potable water booster station and upgrades to existing piping and valves at the Brynn Marr Elevated Water Storage Tank. The project began with an evaluation phase that included field data collection, hydraulic modeling, and analysis of hydraulic performance, operational benefits, construction constraints, and costs. CJS led a series of design workshops with City staff to establish a pumping strategy that enables regular tank cycling, which was previously not possible due to the tank’s location in a higher pressure zone.
Design is currently underway and includes structural, electrical, and SCADA/telemetry components. The station will operate in coordination with a two-way solenoid-controlled altitude valve, allowing the tank to fill and empty based on booster station status.
